Da Vinci New Gold artist watercolor is a beautifully transparent amber color that can disperse a subtle, golden granulation on certain papers. New Gold’s calm transparency has a wonderful ability to add luminosity to paintings, and New Gold will mix a nearly unlimited range of earths, oranges, greens, and darks.
Perfectly adaptable and easy to manage, New Gold’s rich coloration but soft tinting strength tends to pick up the properties of other paints in mixes. For example, adding Titanium White or Titan Buff to New Gold will opacify the color and create a fun assortment of golden creams and butterscotches, or try mixing with Ultramarine Blue or Seaglass to create a range of warm to cool granulating greens.
