Da Vinci Lilac Artist Watercolor is a phenomenal color that’s highly opaque but diffuses into varying shades that range from a purplish pink to a deep, shadowy violet. Da Vinci Lilac showcases gorgeous granulation on certain papers and, when highly diluted, can be used to create forced blooms, blossoms, and exciting backrun effects which is especially fun when painting flowers.
When mixed with green, Da Vinci Lilac watercolor will morph into a striking array of neutral to violet or greenish grays and will even produce smoky blues. Try it with Raw Sienna or Burnt Sienna to create rosy, slightly-opaque earth and flesh tones, or mix it with another blue to create a jaw-dropping display of violets and blues.
