Da Vinci Aureolin Artist Watercolor is a highly transparent, light to mid-range yellow with slightly cool undertones. This two-pigment blend is carefully crafted with Aureolin Yellow (PY40) of the highest quality to create a color with excellent painting properties and very good lightfastness while still maintaining the transparency and radiant luminosity that Aureolin is historically known for.
Highly prized for its brilliant glow when glazing, Da Vinci Aureolin will also perform wonderfully well in masstone and mixes. Much like a cool yellow, Aureolin will mix intensely clear greens and bold oranges, yet this versatile yellow can also be used to mix muted oranges, radiant rusts, rich browns, and more.
